BandCentral offers a Fan Collector Widget that you can embed across your band's online presences like Facebook, MySpace and your band's own website or blog. Once embedded, people visiting your web page can submit their contact information, which will be automatically added to your BandHub's Fan Database.

When you are using the Fan Collector Widget on your band's own website, or Facebook page, we have incorporated a share feature, giving your fans the option to share their action (signing up to your mailing list) via their personal Twitter or Facebook accounts, in one click. At the moment, we are unable to incorporate this feature when embedding into your MySpace page.

Go to Fan Collector Widget under Fans in the main side-bar menu, and click on either 'Widget for MySpace' or 'Widget for a Website'.

The Fan Collector Widget has a simple and fully-customisable design. You can: change the colour, the corner radius, the heading and the subheading. Have a tinker, and click ‘Set’. If you like what you see, click ‘Copy to Clipboard’.

Beneath this are instructions for embedding the code onto your various web presences, including links to Facebook and MySpace flash embedding procedures, and a link to a more thorough article on embedding Flash into the HTML of your website. Each website's instructions will be slightly different, but it is very easy to do. Don't get scared off by the HTML if it's unfamiliar to you.

For example:

For your band's own blog or website

You must paste the code into an administrative 'about' field that recognises HTML code.

For MySpace

Go to Profile tab > Musician Detail > Musician Bio, paste the embedding (be mindful of where you paste this so it doesn't split up another piece of information; at the very end is advised), and click Preview and then Submit**.

For Facebook

You must download the My Stuff application (linked from the Fan Collector Widget page). Once installed, you will be able to enter in the embedding code and choose the placement on your band's Facebook page.

You can embed this code to as many places as you like - wherever you, your manager or one of your surrogates has a presence online. The more locations across the web, the more chances for fans to sign up to your mailing list.
